Lilly's first boat ride

Yesterday was my husband's birthday and we celebrated by going out-of-town to go boating with one of his childhood friends. This has been a pretty rough year for us and it was a welcomed break to spend an afternoon just having fun. The weather was amazingly perfect. Warm, but not hot or humid, and a nice breeze. Lilly seemed to enjoy herself and stayed awake almost the whole time just looking around.

Here is a picture of Lilly using her special powers to drive the boat and ...

Pull her daddy on a wake board:

Lilly enjoyed laying on the tube too though she was disappointed there was not a life jacket small enough for her to wear so she could actually ride it on the water:

  1. Check the American Girl website and see if there's one that actually floats and thats cheap enough. :-D

  2. I have a great idea. Look at the pet department and get her a life vest for a little dog. Or, put cousin Mo on it. You know she can find anything.

Is Lilly successfully sucking her thumb now?

She looks so chilled and rather cool in those shades.

    Love you all,
    Shisshy

Oh, dear Lilly, a girl after my own heart. I love the water too! You look so relaxed. Water does that for you. DO you have a fish tank at home? That would be nice and relaxing for you.
Lots of love from Carol in New Zealand. xxxx

  8. So sorry that you had to postpone the heart cath. Waiting can be so hard. What an encouragement to continually read your posts...especially hearing in your words, the peace that God has so graciously blessed you with! There is no peace like it.......praise God! We will continue to pray for little Lilly, as well as you and your family, as God takes you down this very bumpy, pothole filled road.
    Love in Christ,
